What To Expect At Celebrate Recovery
When you walk in you'll be greeted by one of our friendly CR volunteers. We'll make sure you've got any printed material you'll need to connect you to the right group in the Celebrate Recovery Program. If you're there at 6 pm, you'll enjoy a meal, dessert, and coffee! There is a $3 suggested donation, but first-time attendees enjoy the meal on us!
Some people opt to come at 7 pm, but we encourage you to come at 6 pm. It really is just a time to hang out with your CR friends!
Our Group Service starts promptly at 7 pm.
NOTE: DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC WE ARE NOT SERVING MEALS.
CURRENTLY, DOORS OPEN AT 6:15 PM + GROUP MEETING STARTS PROMPTLY AT 6:30 PM
MASKS + SOCIAL DISTANCING ARE REQUIRED.
Group Service
Each Celebrate Recovery meeting holds the same format. Once a month we hand out chips to celebrate milestones. Each week there is a new lesson. We'll also give you a printout of the lesson for notes and deeper reflection in small groups and at home.
At every group service, you can expect:
-
A time of praise and worship
-
Celebrate Recovery housekeeping. This is where we go over the 12-steps and principles, rules of CR, and any news or updates
-
A lesson or a testimony
-
The Serenity Prayer
Small Groups
Small groups are after the main service, typically starting at 7:30 pm and go until 8:15. We have small groups for men, women, and Veterans.
We do not have any co-ed small groups so that everyone can open up and share personal experiences, reflections on that evening's lesson, or other struggles.
Our Veterans Group, Welcome Home, is only open to men who have or are actively serving in the military.
